VISIT OF THE PETERSEN 6 (Part 2)

Day 3, after the beach, was mostly driving!  First to Liberia to
deliver a medical package to Elder Stott. Elder Tullis,
Zone Leader is by Blake. Sweet story= Kally had found some
cash on the ground earlier that day & decided to give it to the Elders.
We decided we didn't have time to go to Cortez Waterfall,
AND
Drove like crazy from Playa Conchel to Arenal but in end, we were 25 minutes
late for the last reservations of the day (2p) at Sky Adventure River Drift.  So, we checked into the Cabins at Campo Verde (in shadow of Volcon Arenal) and...

... went swimming and sliding down Rio Caliente next to Tabacon Resort.

And Kaitlyn (formerly known as Kally : ),
played with this bunny near our cabins.

Dinner was pizza & pasta in Fortuna at Luigi's.

Fortunately, Sky let us move our reservations to 9a.m. Thursday morning.

After 3, fun, fiber-optic cable, zip lines...

And a 150 foot drop into the river...

five of us did the 3 miles of spins and cascades in Rio Piedras Negras.
Well actually, Erika did part of the drift IN not ON the river.

Meanwhile, Hna Petersen and her two youngest granddaughters went on the
Sky Adventures Hanging bridges hike.

Volcon Arenal from the launch pad at Sky Adventures

The drive back to San Jose was through the mountains and mist.

By way of  Zacero Park....

Friday morning was the long anticipated La Paz
Waterfall Gardens.  Top attraction in the Country!

Playing "Lion King", well almost (remember
Blake's injured shoulder from the chicken fights?).

Hummingbird Garden

Butterfly House...

And everyone got to hold a Toucan.

Bella was our official Guide and Map person.

Poison dart frog?  Well we are still alive & actually not
supposed to hold the frog...whoops!

After the monkeys, snakes, buffet, trout lake, bird house-
there were still the 5 amazing waterfalls... "Temple, White Magic,
Enchanted, Hidden, and Peace (La Paz).

At the end of trail, we watched a Tico working in the river with his
backhoe.

On our way home, visited the San Jose Temple in Belen.

Saturday we split up with older ones going to Rio Savegre Hike and younger two
nietas & their grandma staying in San Jose. These are 2 strong
chicas. Kally's pressing 110 # here.

Rio Savegre hike and waterfalls combined, are one of the gems of Costa Rica.

Final hours Saturday night were spent with the Rivera Family.

Cartago Ruins

Our office in Don Bosco, well a drive-by of the Self-Reliance
Office in the Capilla Don Bosco.

Homemade tacos

But all too soon Sunday morning's 6:20 a.m. flight was here.
Hasta luego Blake, Erika, Libby, Abby, Kally & Bella,
until we meet again in late September. They truly experienced
Pura Vida the past week.
