Two Years Ago the Adventure Began & The Petersen 6 (Part I)

For those who Remember, this adventure began on July 28, 2013 when the Spirit told us "You Need to Go Now!"  We spent most of our Mission wondering why NOW , who needed us, only to learn that it was for US.  That we needed these blessings and opportunities to serve and grow!

The spectacular beauty here never ceases to inspire!

Visit to Canas to speak at La Union Branch on July 5.  On July 19
Guanacaste was organized into a New Stake.

Hermana Petersen's favorite pastime is spent with the
Young Sister Missionaries (Here in Canas, Guanacaste)
Starting your own Business Class in Toyopan Stake

Who's more excited Grandma, or Bella & Kaitlyn?

The highlight of July was having Blake, Erika & their 4 beautiful girls come to visit!
We finally got away from the airport around noon but with only 6 days
in Country, we needed to schedule carefully. Monday me went up to Volcon Poas and even though
the Crater was socked in with fog and mist...

 the Lake was totally clear.

The trail to the Laguna was fabulous as ever.  Like a run through
a tunnel in the forest!
This is what we came to see!
This is what we saw...
Tuesday morning found us on the Pacific Coast at Rio Tarcoles
(Crocodile Bridge) for a canopy-zipline through jungles.

One by one we each disappeared into the trees

Bella was soon an old pro.

As was Kaitlyn too.
The last zipline ended at the bottom of Crocodile Bridge- up
close and personal to some 20-30 monster reptiles

Soon had us all zipping upside down. Here's Libby..

Afterward we headed north to Puntarenas. Each one got to pick a small treasure
chest- puzzle box made by Branch President Walter Villegas.
He's quite a craftsman. We love going here because
Melanie served in nearby Barancas.

Check out the outdoor Baptismal font in Puntarenas.

More acrobatics from Kaitlyn at Taiwan Friendship Bridge-Nicoya.

Of course, when in Puntarenas everyone needs to try a "CHURCHILL"
Eat your heart out Ashley ; )  She loves Churchill's.

The Petersen 6 at Playa Grande after shell hunting & playing in Ocean

Overnight at beautiful El Sabernero Eco-Lodge

Chicken fights in the pool. Blake's shoulder hurt
him the rest of the trip.

Then Wednesday morning, off to our favorite beach,
Playa Conchel.

For snorkeling & such. Who knew the girlers
would be such great snorkelers
