Waterfalls and Workshops!

This waterfall belongs with the fotos at the very last of this post.
Unfortunately, my proof reader Hermana Petersen, can't
figure out how to get it down there. Lo ciento!

Bishops training in Guapiles with President and Sister Chaverri
of the San Jose Los Yoses Stake

While in Guapiles, we took advantage of a little known waterfall
on private property called La Perla.

Met Limon Self -Reliance Specialist Maureen Munoz
in Siquirres to deliver "Mi Camino" books & supplies.

Visited friend Graciela in Pariaso on the way home from Turrialba
Max was the last of a litter of  9 puppies.  She wanted Sister Petersen to take him home
with her but....

Talked in Rama Santo Domingo de Heredia 1-25-15

Mi Camino training with Toyopan Stake (All 8 ward councils)

Sister Petersen working with Mission Nurse Hna Markle on Missionary
Insurance Claim forms each Wednesday at the Mission Office.

More training in Guapiles

Kinda hard finding this waterfall outside Guacimo

Our guide made us walking sticks out of bamboo.

The guide made this termite mound into a "art project"

La Perla Waterfall was awesome.
We should all like ourselves like Jose Salas' son Daniel

Sister Petersen made Chocolate Chip cookies for the Missionaries
of Zona La Sabana

Sunset by Temple in Belen

Fun to meet the Maughan's from Lindon, They're 1 of 2 new temple couples and
friends of our friends, the Iorg's.
Feb 1 went north on Ruta 32 to the new chapel in La Rita to share our message,
which is always the importance of Self-Reliance.

Invited to "facilitate" the 1st of 12 Sunday School classes by Bishop Rodriguez.
These lessons about the doctrine of Self-Reliance are intended for every adult
member of the Church, & their spouse, to participate in. This new initiative
began Feb. 1st in all of Central America.

Then taught the workshop in the 3rd Hour of the church block, where Elder Pete explains the Perpetual Education Fund & how to have true joy by being Self-Reliant.

Got a new batch  of missionaries this month.  It's always a great
experience to see them arrive and go forth to serve.
February 8th found us in the  Paso Ancho Ward, La Paz Stake
where we talked in Sacrament Meeting and then gave this Self- Reliance
Workshop

The falls are just southwest 11km from San Isidro.

Afterwards we were able to give Pres,Quirros (1st Counselor  in the Stake)
a ride to Alajuelita.

On Saturday, Feb.7, went with
Elder Coleman to my favorite
Waterfall while our Wives/Comps
stayed home in San Jose.

Because we are in dry season much
less water than the last time I came
with Ryan.  But we did explore the
upper falls, the caves, and swam in
the pool and under the falls.

.
Swimming in the pool after a hot, vertical hike
Left supplies in San Isidro for Branch Pte Elizondo and caught the
missionaries filling the font for a baptism

That's Elder Petersen after swimming out under the falls.
Elder Pete has a philosophy that he takes to heart,
"HE'S NEVER MET A WATERFALL HE HASN'T LIKED"
