What a great mission experience we are having!
Especially when they let us leave for such a special event as
being part of the sealing of our grandson,
WILLIAM ISAIAH ALEXANDER TUCKER
in the Washington D.C. Temple on May 9, 2015.
(his 4 month birthday)
The Washington Temple is such an amazingly beautiful place. |
Grandma Diane & Grandma Vickie were blessed to get to hold Will at the alter. |
After the sealing we headed for Hampton, Virginia for the blessing the next morning...here we are, passing the Jefferson & Washington Memorials. |
Will Tucker right after his blessing, Sunday morning 5/10/15 at the Newport News Spanish 4th Branch. |
Those (plus Sam Miller & Branch President) who were part of Will's prayer circle. (Kent & Dennis Carlson, Jeff & Will, Bob Tucker & Elder Petersen) |
The next day all the Petersen girls went to get pedicures. |
Wills grandparents (Elder y Hermana Petersen) kept finding just one more gift to shower on him. This little hat has a frog on it & is, of course, from Costa Rica. |
The following are the same events from the eye of Hermana Petersen's camera. This is the first time we met Will face to face & not Skype face to face!!! |
Think they're happy? |
Ashley got to represent the rest of our family & was able to make the trip!! Blake, Erika, the girls, Mike, the boys, Lindsey, Joseph & Ryan would've been there too, if they could've. |
Washington D.C. Temple Visitors Center |
Inside the visitors center is a scale model of the temple with the actual temple visible thru window in background...very cool. |
Had to stop at 5 Guys in DC. First time in 5 months that I got my favorite burger & fries!! |
The entire group went to The County Grill for famous Virginia BBQ. We also visited a Chinese restaurant & a great Mexican restaurant during our stay. |
The girls left the Newport News Chapel afterwards to prepare the Baked Potato Luncheon at Tucker's place. |
This foto of Great-Aunt Linda & Will illustrates how we all felt having to leave, bitter sweet! The good news is that this Tucker three-some are moving back to Utah!!!!!!! |
All too soon, it was time to leave family behind and return to Costa Rica. Only gone from mission for 5 days. Too short, but happily back in the service of the Lord. |
This is us at the Washington DC Temple visitors Center. We had just enough time to watch the Costa Rica part of "Meet the Mormons" |
